Our Story
Over 22 Years of Music at IISc
The official music club of the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru — active since 2002
Rhythmica is the official music club of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), active for over 22 years. Founded in 2002 by students including first convenor Dr. Maya and Dr. Suman, it began as a casual space to play and experiment with music and has grown into a structured, audition-led club known for polished campus performances.
Bandish, the club's annual show, brings together the old and the new by connecting alumni founders with current students. Rhythmica's sine-wave identity reflects the meeting point of music and scientific inquiry at IISc, while the club remains a vital outlet for stress relief, friendship, mentorship, and community.
